Important points for the maintenance of your beer tap
When you purchase a MyBar beer tap, it is because apart from the considerable saving when it comes to enjoying a glass of beer (half in relation to the purchase of cans or bottles) you are a beer-lover and you like to enjoy it in its optimal state.
In order to enjoy a pint in an optimal state various very important factors play a part such as temperature, pressure and cleaning the circuit.
Our MyBar beer taps, just like your car, require maintenance or regular tuning to ensure quality, fresh and tasty beer.
TEMPERATURE / PRESSURE/CLEANING.
What is the ideal temperature for serving a glass of beer?
Depending on the type of beer, each manufacturer will indicate the ideal serving temperature.
It is usual to serve it between 3° and 5°. You should adjust the thermostat on your machine if you have said option.
Important: the temperature of the beer when it comes to serving a pint or glass of beer should be constant.
What pressure should the pressure gauge indicate?
The pressure gauge should be between 1 and 1.5 bars
When should I clean the MyBar circuit?
Regular cleaning of the faucet, the beer hose and the coupler is extremely important. If this is not done, the beer will create foam. In addition, bacteria, yeast residue, mildew and beer accumulate in the pipes, in the head and in the faucet and quickly degrade the quality of the beer in the barrel.
Cleaning the MyBar circuit, with a pressurized bottle cleaning system, is very easy and within just a few minutes you will leave the circuit ready to enjoy your barrel in optimal condition.
This process consists of pumping water mixed with chemical cleaning products into the beer tube and leaving it to soak for an amount of time prescribed by the chemical product manufacturer. To follow, in-depth cleaning of the beer hose with water to eliminate all trace of the chemical cleaning product.
The last step consists of soaking the coupler and the faucet in water together with the chemical solution. Soap it with a homologated cleaning brush (does not leave residue or damage the MyBar accessories) and subsequently rinse with clean water.
MyBar recommends cleaning whenever you change the barrel. It takes just a few minutes and will ensure you enjoy beer in perfect conditions.

Where can I get CO2 gas?
The CO2 cylinder can be purchased from our website www.mybarshop.es
You can also purchase larger formats from your usual beer distributor.
Amongst the MyBar accessories you will find a support fixture to attach to the back of your machine for containers of over 5 to 7kg. For larger gas bottles that will not fit into the fridge container you can place them directly on the floor behind the refrigerator.
How many litres of beer can I dispense with one bottle of Co2?
One CO2 cylinder, depending on the load of same will give you approximately:
500gr= 100 litres
1kg = 200 litres
2kg = 400 Litres
Can I leave the CO2 bottle inside MyBar?
The gas bottles or cylinders that we supply you with from our website can be perfectly stored next to the barrel inside the machine’s container.
For larger bottles you can screw the gas support fixture to the back of the machine or, for the bigger sizes, you can place them behind the machine directly on the floor, without the support fixture.
Can I use Mybar outside?
Almost all barrel refrigerators are designed for interior use. For more efficient use, the refrigerators should be located in a cool area, protected from sunlight, far from heating ducts or inspection hatches and far from any devices that produce heat such as ovens or dishwashers.
Bear in mind that the warmer the ambient temperature that surrounds it, the harder the refrigeration compressor will have to work to maintain the internal temperature at between 3° to 4°, so fundamental to the majority of beers. What’s more, the ambient temperature should never exceed 43 ° or fall below -12 °
Barrel refrigerators not specifically designed for external use should not be used for this purpose, the work required by the compressor to reach the levels of cold required will make it overheat, ultimately burning it out.
If you are going to use a barrel refrigerator in the fresh air, be sure to buy a unit specifically designed for open air use.
How will I know which coupler/head is the right one for my favourite barrel of beer?
On the Spanish market there are principally three types of barrel heads or couplers: Type S, Type G and Type A.
***make sure that the coupler is the same as the one we indicate in the website photo.

Can I pull a beer as soon as I get home?
No. During transportation barrel beer becomes agitated and it is therefore advisable to allow it to cool in the refrigerator for a couple of hours and subsequently connect it.
How long does a barrel in perfect condition last?
For the most part barrels last for three months.
If your MyBar is clean, at constant temperature without sudden changes and with stable gas pressure, the life of the beer barrel can be considerably extended.
What should I do if I am not going to connect a barrel for a long period of time?
In the event that your beer tap has the option to turn into a fridge:
Clean the circuit and the accessories as indicated by the manufacturer. Unscrew the tower, faucet and couplers. Place the cover over the top of the fridge to ensure hermetic sealing. Insert the shelves supplied with the beer tap. You can now use it as a fridge until you want to connect another barrel of beer.
In the event that your model does not have the fridge option:
Unplug it. Clean the circuit and the accessories with a specific product for cleaning beer circuits.

It is usually served between 3° and 5°. You must adjust the thermostat on your machine if you have this option.
